General Terms for Time and Materials Work

This is an informal summary: see the sample contract for precise wording.
Charges are for time and expenses.
Time is billed in 15 minute increments.
For trips within northern Minnesota, upper Wisconsin, and Upper Michigan, travel time is computed assuming a starting point in Duluth.
Normal office expenses including telecommunications, computers and general software and similar items are included in the hourly rate. Mileage is also included in the hourly rate.
Invoicing is monthly and includes day-level summaries of work performed and time as well as itemized expenses.
Invoices are payable on receipt.

General Terms for Fixed-Price Work

Charges are for delivering the final report.
Invoicing is when the site visit portion of the work is complete.
Invoices are payable on receipt and payment must be received before the final report is delivered.

Changes in any of these terms can be negotiated.
